Food is really good service could be better. They do have tables set up to sit by the food cart which is nice.

I’m honestly sad we haven’t tried El Jefe much sooner than today! It was 10/10 spot on. We ordered the Birria quesatacos, carne asada tacos, birria torta and chips and cheese. All worthy. Delicious, not too greasy and the salsas were perfect as well! Customer service was fantastic (she helped us order her favorites since it was our first time) and the food came out quickly. The only negative is the location but that doesn’t reflect the food or the service! We will definitely be back over and over again!

One of the best places to eat in Hazel Dell. Highly recommend the Birria Burrito, Quesatacos, and Quesabirria with consommé. The passion fruit drink with chamoy is also so yummy.

El Jefe is my favorite food truck and Mexican food. Their tacos are great and my favorite burrito is the Loco Burrito. They also have excellent Queso.

I ordered the birria ramen, and it was undercooked — I literally had to come home and finish cooking it myself. It’s suppose to be ready to eat. So I suggest you don’t order this unless your eating at home and wanna microwave it. the $5.99 breakfast burrito they advertise is not a thing ? Remove your signage I was charged full price. Hopefully they read this review and correct these things because the birria flavor is actually really good and I wanna come back.

We had an amazing late night meal from here and wished we lived closer. The value, the flavor, and the quality were all worth it. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.
